"The fragmented dynamic of my atomized painted marks constantly expands.

The inner tension of subtly vibrating energy impacts how I breathe as it is reflected outward from the prism of my art universe.” — Jenna Lash

Prayers for the Pandemic; Prayers for Progress is our ongoing public art project happening across the United States. The concept draws inspiration from Tibetan prayer flags made of colorful rectangular cloth that are strung along trails and peaks high in the Himalayas, and used to bless the surrounding area in which they are placed. In this, our second collection, we continue to receive images and stories from artists in the NY/NJ area, as well as across the country.”

Jenna Lash on the American Numismatic Society‘s Podcast: The Planchet

Interview with Andrew Reinhard of The Planchet.

“The fifth episode of The Planchet features an interview with guest Jenna Lash to discuss her numismatic paintings, how she selects her monetary subjects and themes, and what it’s like to be a visual artist in the time of COVID-19.

“NOTE: The quality of the audio degrades for about a minute in the middle of the podcast, and then recovers for the duration of the recording. Occasional technical difficulties are the new normal until we get back safely to a shared space for recording.”

“In Get Rich Quick II, Jenna Lash harnesses a pointillist technique to represent her impressions on how diverse cultures represent themselves symbolically in their financial systems.”

“Lash embraces the depth of preconceptions inherent to the notion of money, and alongside the viewer, continues to explore the rich, seemingly endless connotations that money can have. … Her paintings serve as platforms or portals, as invitations for the viewer to consider what it is that we value, as individuals, a nation, a society, and a culture.” —Marissa Passi
